Our new 2023/2024 season starts on Monday 4th September, 2023, and we look forward to welcoming our members old and new along for a new year of photography, interesting talks, competitions, practical nights, and more...
Hayling Island Camera Club are hosting their 2023 exhibition at St Mary's Church on Saturday 5th, and Sunday 6th August, 2023. We'd love to welcome you to see some of our members' best photographs, and maybe treat yourself to a cup of tea or coffee and slice of cake!

We recently attended local MP Alan Mak's 2023 Community Information Fair, and our secretary Jan features in this news article about it.
We are proudly supported by Hayling Print. For all your printing requirements, please visit them at 64 Elm Grove, Hayling Island, PO11 9EF, or on-line at https://www.haylingprint.co.uk.
Following the sad news of the passing of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, and further to the news that her funeral will be held on Monday 19th September, and that this will be a public holiday; we have made the difficult decision to postpone the meeting that was scheduled for Monday 19th September as a mark of respect. This was to be our first members workshop.
But fear not - we have been able to secure the URC hall on Friday 23rd September instead. We'll be running the same things with print mounting, basic computer tips to prepare images for PDI (including exporting at the correct size!), and more, so please do come along as usual.
Again - that's now Friday 23rd September, 2022 for the members workshop.
As mentioned in our members newsletter, we ask you to please ensure you attend our first evening back of the new season on 5th September. We have an Emergency General Meeting to vote in a new President and other Committee positions.
Additionally, we remind you that subs for the new season are now £45 and may be paid by direct bank transfer (details were in the recent newsletter sent out) or in person on the night. We have a great programme of speakers, competitions, and workshops, making for excellent value for money...
Finally, we have launched our brand-new public facing Facebook page. Please like, follow, and share to all your photography inclined friends!
We'd like to bring your attention to an exhibition being hosted by Hayling Island Camera Club at St Mary's Church on Saturday 13th, and Sunday 14th August, 2022. All Welcome!

We will be running a free workshop to help you understand the camera basics along with composition and lens choices that will make all the difference to improve your photography.
Whether you use a mobile phone, point and shoot, or top end digital camera, we understand that everyone has to start by learning the basics. If you want to know a bit more about how your camera works and how to use those settings and controls, or how to improve your skills and make those special photographs then this workshop will help you.
You are invited to attend this free introductory workshop on Saturday 3rd September 2022 from 10am to 2pm at Hayling Island United Reformed Church Hall, Hollow Lane, Hayling Island PO11 9EY.
If you would like to attend, please leave your details and collect an admission ticket from the front table at our annual exhibition at St Mary's Church on 13th & 14th August. Alternatively please email our club secretary at: email@example.com.
